Is TLC accredited by an American Accrediting Institution?

Yes, TLC International School is fully accredited internationally through Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (msa-cess.org) from Preschool – Grade 12.

Does TLC offer scholarships?

Yes, TLC International School does have some scholarships available. Scholarship applications must be submitted annually by May 31. Late applicants will only be considered if there is money left in the budget.

When should I contact TLC if I am considering sending my child(ren) next school year?

Space is limited at TLC to 16 students per classroom. On average 85% of the classrooms are at full capacity. For this reason, please contact TLC as soon as possible in order to ensure a place for your child(ren).

Does TLC offer hot lunch?

Yes, TLC orders lunch from a local restaurant and offers healthy snacks of fresh fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, and milk daily. Families receive a monthly calendar of lunch choices and place their order based on their child(ren)’s preferences.

Does TLC conduct any standardized testing?

Yes, TLC students in grades 1 – 8 are given the Reading Renaissance and Star Math Assessments four times annually.  TLC participates in the International Schools’ Assessment (www.acer.edu.au/isa) testing for all students in grades 3-8.  All students in grades 8-11 are given the PSAT.  In addition, high school students are given the option of taking the SAT and AP subject exams.

What is the student, teacher ratio at TLC?

There are currently approximately 5 students to every teacher at TLC.

Does TLC offer extra help to students with limited English?

Yes, TLC currently has two full-time and one part-time staff to assist English language learners.

Is TLC able to help my Autistic or Special Needs Child?

Unfortunately, TLC does not have enough trained staff to accept new Autistic or Special Needs Children at this time.
